In order to receive email on a BlackBerry device, you must subscribe to BlackBerry email service through your wireless provider. Setting Up for BlackBerry 6 or 7 OS<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To set up email on your BlackBerry:<\/p>

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Click the\u00a0Setup<\/strong>\u00a0icon on the home screen.
2.<\/strong>\u00a0Select\u00a0Email Accounts<\/strong>.
3.<\/strong>\u00a0Select\u00a0Internet Mail Account<\/strong>.
4.<\/strong>\u00a0Follow the phone\u2019s prompts to complete the setup. You will need to agree to the BlackBerry email service Terms and Conditions and provide the email address and password for your preferred Casbay email account.<\/p>

You may have to re-register your device with your wireless network. To do this:<\/p>

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Click the\u00a0BlackBerry<\/strong>\u00a0button >\u00a0Options<\/strong>.
2.<\/strong>\u00a0Advanced Options<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Host Routing Table<\/strong>.
3.<\/strong>\u00a0Click the\u00a0BlackBerry<\/strong>\u00a0button and choose\u00a0Register Now<\/strong>.<\/p>

This should sync your PDA with your carrier\u2019s wireless network.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Enter Settings Manually<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

If you create a BlackBerry account with the same username and password as your cPanel account, there can be a major conflict.<\/p>

When you setup an email account on BIS, you are asked for only 2 things: an email address and password. If both the email and username exist and the passwords are the same, BlackBerry will accept this data and sync the phone with the account\u2019s default email address instead of your Casbay email address.<\/p>

To fix this, just give BlackBerry a false password. When it cannot authenticate, you will be asked if you want to\u00a0Re-enter account information<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Enter the settings manually.<\/strong><\/p>

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Select\u00a0Enter the settings manually<\/strong>, then select\u00a0I will provide the settings to add this email account<\/strong>.
2.<\/strong>\u00a0Enter the full IMAP information for your account.<\/p>

This will allow BIS to sync with the proper account.<\/p>

Note:<\/strong>\u00a0With the new Blackberry OS, this fix may not apply; however, you may want to try the above steps if you continue to have difficulty setting up your email account.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
