This article describes how to manually migrate emails using Ms Outlook.<\/p>

There are\u00a03 stages involved;<\/p>

i. Configure email as POP3
ii. Export email data (PST\/OST)
iii. Import email data<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

i. Configure the email account as POP3<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

To configure the email, you may refer to this\u00a0guide<\/a>.<\/p>

NOTE<\/strong>: Kindly hold as Outlook may take some time to download all the emails (depending on the mailbox size)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

ii. Export and Backup OST\/PST from Outlook Email Application<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This is the easiest, straightforward and effortless way to export and backup Outlook Emails:<\/p>

  1. Firstly, open and log in on MS Outlook.<\/li>
  2. Then, go to File<\/strong>\u00a0and click on\u00a0Open and Export<\/strong>\u00a0followed by\u00a0Import\/Export<\/strong><\/li>
  3. On Import and Export Wizard, click\u00a0Export to a File<\/strong>\u00a0and click\u00a0N<\/strong>ext.<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    4. After that, select Outlook\u00a0<\/strong>Data File (.pst)<\/strong>. again click Next.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    1. In case any dialog box appears to save on other location, click on Cancel<\/strong> button.<\/li>
    2. Lastly, type a name for Outlook backup. Click Finish<\/strong>.

      Your PST file is saved on hard drive (local device).<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t

      iii. Import the OST\/PST to New Email account<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      You will need to remove and add the email account again in Outlook using your new hosting\u2019s mailserver as Host:<\/p>

      1. Firstly, configure the email using the guide<\/a>\u00a0provided.
        NOTE<\/strong>: Kindly use new hosting\u2019s mailserver or update the DNS of current mailserver to new server.<\/li>
      2. At the top of your Outlook ribbon, select\u00a0File.<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        3. Select\u00a0Open & Export<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Import\/Export<\/strong>. This starts the Import\/Export wizard.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        1. Select\u00a0Import from another program or file<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li>
        2. Then, select elect\u00a0Outlook Data File (.pst)<\/strong>\u00a0and click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li>
        3. Browse<\/strong>\u00a0to the .pst file you want to import. Under\u00a0Options<\/strong>, choose how you want to deal with emails and contacts, then choose\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
          \n\t\t\t\t

          1. If you\u2019re importing the contents of your .pst file into your mailbox, choose that mailbox here.<\/li>
          2. And if you\u2019re NOT importing into your mailbox, choose Import items into the current folder<\/strong>. This imports the data into the folder currently selected.<\/li>
          3. Choose\u00a0Finish<\/strong>. Outlook starts importing the contents of your .pst file immediately. When the progress box disappears, the import is finished.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
