Many spammers and viruses will select random email addresses to send spams to promote their product or to infect people\u2019s computers.<\/p>

They will also randomly pick addresses to say that the email will be sent from that address (known as Email Spoofing<\/strong>). This is done to increase the validity<\/strong> (or indeed suspicion) of the desired sender\u2019s address.<\/p>

Unfortunately, spammers send emails and viruses using open relays (servers that do not require authentication) as they use your own integrated SMTP servers to send out viruses. This is because the fraudulent emails come from a different source. We don\u2019t have a way to stop that.<\/p>

However, you should get everything up to date if you think you are infected with a virus. In addition, you should check your system constantly to secure the software (particularly for Windows with Outlook, because the e-mail program for e-mail virus authors is the most popular) and email. Avoid using dictionary words and use well-selected passwords to protect your email accounts.<\/p>
