As WHM is an easy to use application to help assist with managing your server. It can also send you alerts based on certain actions performed (or triggers). There are a various ways that WHM can communicate through. There are also several types of events that WHM can notify you know about. These can all be managed and prioritized in the Contact Manager of WHM.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Accessing The Contact Manager<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Step One<\/strong>: Log into your WHM Administrative Dashboard.<\/p>

Step Two<\/strong>: From WHM, you can go into the Upper left, and search for\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0to find the option. This will be under\u00a0Server Contacts<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Step Three<\/strong>: Click on\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0to be brought to the main page (This will default to the\u00a0Communcation Type<\/strong><\/em> tab).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Different Communication Types<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the WHM Contact Manager, you can select which priorities of events the communication method will receive. This can also be used to get a quick link to edit the details for the communication method, such as the Email Address or information used.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

i) Changing Priority<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the drop down next to each Communication Type, you can select the importance of the alerts that will be sent through that Communication Type. The available options would be\u00a0High Only<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0High<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Medium Only<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0All<\/strong><\/em>(Will send for High, Medium and Low priority events) and\u00a0None\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(Not used). If you make a change to the priority of the events that the Communication Type will receive, you will need to click the blue\u00a0Save<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>button at the bottom to save the changes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

ii) Change Email Communication Destination<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Firstly<\/strong>: First navigate to the\u00a0Communication Type<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>tab on the\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>page in WHM.<\/p>

Secondly<\/strong>: Then Click\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the far Right of the\u00a0Email<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>option in the list of Communication Types.<\/p>

Thirdly<\/strong>: This will bring you to a new page where you are able to enter in an Email address. This may already have a value. You can change or input the new email address there.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Step Four<\/strong>: Once you are done making the changes you would like to the Email address, you can click the Blue\u00a0Save Changes<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>button towards the bottom to save the change.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

iii) Change Hipchat Communication Destination<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Firstly<\/strong>: Navigate to the\u00a0Communication Type<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>tab on the\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0page in WHM.<\/p>

Secondly<\/b><\/strong>: Next Click\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the far Right of the\u00a0Hipchat\u00a0<\/strong>option in the list of Communication Types.<\/p>

Thirdly<\/b><\/strong>: Clicking this will bring you to a new page where you are can enter in a Hipchat User or Room name. This may already have a value, though this can be changed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

iv) Change ICQ Communication Destination<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Firstly<\/strong>: Navigate to the\u00a0Communication Type<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>tab on the\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>page in WHM.<\/p>

Secondly<\/b><\/strong>: Click\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the far Right of the\u00a0ICQ\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>option in the list of Communication Types.<\/p>

Thirdly<\/b><\/strong>: Clicking this will bring you to a new page where you are can enter in an ICQ ID, as well as a password (and any identification numbers). This may already have a value, though these values can be changed if needed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Firstly<\/strong>: Navigate to the\u00a0Communication Type<\/strong>\u00a0tab on the\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>page in WHM.<\/p>

Secondly<\/b><\/strong>: Click\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the far Right of the\u00a0Post to a URL\u00a0<\/strong>option in the list of Communication Types.<\/p>

Thirdly<\/b><\/strong>: This will take you to a new page where you can enter in a list or single URL where POST Requests will be sent. This will have a specific structure and will contain the\u00a0hostname<\/strong>,\u00a0subject<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0body<\/strong>\u00a0of the message being sent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

vi) Changing Pushbullet Communication Destination<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Firstly<\/strong>: Navigate to the\u00a0Communication Type<\/strong>\u00a0tab on the\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>page in WHM.<\/p>

Secondly<\/b><\/strong>: Click\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the far Right of the\u00a0Pushbullet\u00a0<\/strong>option in the list of Communication Types.<\/p>

Thirdly<\/b><\/strong>: Here you will be at a page where you can specify the API Token for Pushbullet. This will be used for the Notifications sent using this communication type.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Step Four<\/strong>: After entering in, or updating your Pushbullet API Key, you can click\u00a0Save Changes<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>at the bottom to save the new API Key.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

vii) Change SMS Communication Destination<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Firstly<\/strong>: Navigate to the\u00a0Communication Type<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>tab on the\u00a0Contact Manager<\/strong>\u00a0page in WHM.<\/p>

Secondly<\/b><\/strong>: Click\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to the far Right of the\u00a0Short Message Service (SMS)\u00a0<\/strong>option in the list of Communication Types.<\/p>

Thirdly<\/b><\/strong>: From this next page, you are able to enter in the cell phone or pager email address here, where you can receive SMS Notifications with the events as well.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Notifications Through WHM<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When on the Contact Manager page for WHM, there will be a tab for\u00a0Notifications<\/strong><\/em>. This will show a list of all the notifications that will be sent by WHM.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With each option, you can set the priority that the notification is sent on. The priority will determine which Communication Types are used to retrieve the notifications sent.
