Addon domains typically have their own distinct website.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3603c0b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3603c0b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How to Create an Addon Domain<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a05cb07 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a05cb07\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>With Addon Domains you can host multiple different domains with different website content, all under the same disk space and bandwidth of one cPanel.<\/p><p>Fristly, login to your cPanel and click <strong>Addon Domains<\/strong>, under <strong>Domains <\/strong>section. There are three fields cPanel asks for when creating Addon Domains.<\/p><p><strong>1. New Domain Name:<\/strong>\u00a0Enter the new domainname.com, but do not put http or www in the name.<\/p><p><strong>2. Username\/directory\/subdomain Name:<\/strong>\u00a0This will be the folder cPanel creates in your <em>public_html<\/em> folder. Normally, you want to ensure the name you provide doesn\u2019t already exist as a folder in <em>public_html<\/em>, but cPanel will automatically suggest the name and we recommend you stick with the suggestion.<\/p><p><strong>3. Password:<\/strong>\u00a0Fill in any password you want here. This password is used for an FTP account which is automatically created by cPanel. You likely will not ever need this password, so we suggest picking a random password and forgetting about it.<br \/>Your new domain is now successfully added. You can upload the website files to the specific addon folder which was created in the <em>public_html<\/em> folder.<\/p><p><strong>Reminder<\/strong>: Your new domain name will not display your site until you set that domain\u2019s name servers. You must go to the company where you registered your domain, and change the name servers there.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aac4da7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"aac4da7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Point an Addon Domain to a Specific or Existing Folder<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cd12ed8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cd12ed8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sometimes you already have content uploaded to a specific folder on your account or you want the content to be in a different folder than the default. In that case, you would specify the correct folder in <strong>\u201cUsername\/directory\/subdomain Name\u201d<\/strong> field in the instructions above, instead of the one it suggests. If the folder does not exists, it will create it for you.<\/p><p>In another case, if the folder already exists, it may give you a warning that the username\/directory\/subdomain already exists, but in this case, you entered something that already exists on purpose. You can safely ignore this warning, since that was your intent to point the addon domain to a directory that already exists.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c8255b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2c8255b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How to Remove an Addon Domain<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4c4b19 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f4c4b19\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you have an Addon Domain set up and would like delete it, please do the following:<\/p><p>1. Firstly, login to your cPanel and click <strong>Addon Domains<\/strong>.<br \/>2. Then, click <strong>Remove<\/strong> under <strong>Actions <\/strong>section.<\/p><p>Removing the addon domain <strong>only removes the domain from the DNS and server configuration<\/strong>.
