\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn this guide we will show you how to download and install the latest version of phpMyAdmin under XAMPP to solve any compatibility issues with PHP 7.2 and phpMyAdmin 4.6 and above.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

  1. First, stop MySql.<\/li>
    \n \t
  2. Next, rename the current phpMyAdmin directory.<\/li>
    \n \t
  3. Go to phpMyAdmin<\/a> and download the latest version. If you’re using Windows platform, you can download the zip file.<\/li>
    \n
  4. Next, extract the zip file and copy all directories to (xampp install path)\/phpmyadmin<\/b><\/li>
    \n
  5. Copy config.inc.php<\/i><\/b> from your original phpmyadmin directory to the new directory.<\/li>
    \n
  6. Start MySql.<\/li>
    \n
  7. Then go to localhost\/phpmyadmin<\/b><\/li>
    \n
  8. You may get a warning regarding \u201cAccess denied for pma@localhost\u201c<\/b>. Go to SQL and run the following commands:

    GRANT USAGE ON mysql.* TO 'pma'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'whatever password you want to set';<\/code><\/td><\/table><\/li>\n
  9. Open config.inc.php<\/i><\/b> in a text editor.<\/li>

  10. Find the following lines:

    \n\/* User for advanced features *\/
    \n$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = 'pma';
    \n$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = '';<\/code><\/td><\/table><\/li>\n
  11. Next, change controlpass parameter to your new password.<\/li>
    \n
  12. Lastly, restart MySQL. This should solve the warning. <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Update using DirectAdmin <\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIf you are using a custom build for DirectAdmin, you may use the following steps to update phpMyAdmin to the latest one:\n

    1. SSH to the server<\/li>\n
      \n
    2. Go to the directory<\/li>\n
      \n$ \/usr\/local\/directadmin\/custombuild<\/code>

    3. Run the command below<\/li>\n
      \n$ .\/build phpmyadmin<\/code>\n
