The easiest way to do that is to go to Start-&gt;Run and type in &#8220;cmd&#8221; then click &#8220;OK.&#8221;<\/p><p>Note:\u00a0 This is universal on all recent Windows versions.<\/p><p>Type in `<strong>nslookup<\/strong> .`<\/p><p>Enter the IP address or name of the site you wish to reach. For example, to lookup to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casbay.com\/\"><em>www.casbay.com<\/em><\/a> you would enter `nslookup www.casbay.com` and then press enter.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-41280b2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"41280b2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Copying data from the command prompt window slightly different than most other Windows interfaces and here is how:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-02aad44 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"02aad44\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol><li>Right-click in the window to get the <strong>context menu.<\/strong><\/li><li>Select the &#8220;<strong>Mark<\/strong>&#8221; option, highlight the part of the window you want to copy.<\/li><li>Press &#8220;<strong>Enter<\/strong>&#8221; to copy the selection to your clipboard.<\/li><li>Paste the selected text somewhere else, such as in an email or document.<\/li><li>When you finished, close the command-line window by typing `<strong>exit<\/strong>` and hitting <strong>Enter<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-466b2ff elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"466b2ff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A manual DNS query can be useful in helping us to verify the <strong>name resolution system<\/strong> is working on your computer. Whether the issue is reaching all resources or specific resources, identifying how the client computer is handling this first crucial step which is translating a DNS name into an IP address.
