The best line of defense on the web starts with user awareness. Avoid the risk of web security attacks and implement these 5 Ways to safeguard your online privacy:

Login Page

1. Use Strong Passwords

It used to be that passwords of 3 or 4 characters would keep your data secure. However, as technology has progressed, so are the skills and methods to crack passwords. Your passwords now need at least 8 characters with a mixture of lower case letters, capitals, numbers, and a special character like an exclamation mark is highly recommended.

Do not create your password a familiar sentence. Remembering the sentence “I love my kids” might be simple for you, but a password cracking software will crack that in no moment. An excellent concept is to take the first letter of a sentence you’ll remember and use it like this:Never use twice a password. If someone hacks into any of your accounts, they can access your bank accounts, your Internet buy accounts, and any other important data.

2. Authorization of two-factor

A two-factor authorization comes in handy when a website acknowledges a distinct IP address for logging into a website like your Google account. You will immediately receive a text message with a phone number that you have registered to verify if you are. If you have not logged in, you should immediately alter your password to secure your account.

Secure Networks

3. Always Use Secure Networks

Consider the address bar before logging into your bank page and other sites on which you have private data when logging into economic and other important websites. If the address begins with HTTPS then you understand it’s secured (by adding “s”). If it doesn’t, then either you have the incorrect login page or it may be a spoof (fake) website.

Never press a connection in an email that seems suspicious. Better yet, never press a connection from any important website like your bank. Just go to the website link you trust and save to log in or call your bookmarks. They’ll know your caution.

4. Use More than One Email Address

If you use a separate email for stuff like Facebook, Twitter, and even eBay, the email you use for your banking could be safer. If someone were to hack into one, they would not automatically have access to the others.

Email address

5. Be careful about posting your email address online

This is merely an invitation to spam if nothing else, but it also opens a message of “Hey, hack me. Here’s my email. “Avoid posting your email address in forums, review sites, and message boards where spammers can readily pick up your address. Above all, are the most 5 ways to safeguard your online privacy.

Visit us for more information.

How do I make my information more secure on the Web?
